Cookies and local storage

Haifa Local sets no advertising or tracking cookies. It has no ads, no social-media pixels and no analytics cookies. Fonts are served from this website, so nothing is requested from Google Fonts.

What is saved on your device

• kit-consent remembers your cookie and map choice.
• kit-a11y remembers your accessibility menu settings, if you change them.
• local-checklist-haifa the boxes you tick in the newcomer checklist.
• local-cost-haifa the numbers you type into the cost-of-living worksheet.
• local-matcher-haifa your choices in the neighbourhood matcher.
• local-temp-unit whether you prefer °C or °F.

These are kept in your browser's local storage, are not sent to us, and stay until you clear them.

Maps

The directory map uses map images from OpenStreetMap. They load only after you click "Show the map" or allow embedded media in the cookie settings, because the map server receives your IP address.

The hosting platform

The site runs on Base44. Base44 may set a short-lived technical cookie needed to serve pages, and counts page views for the site owner without identifying you.
